"Hold Fast" is a well known phrase that evolved from the Dutch nautical "Houd Vast" which sailors were instructed to do during storms. 

We felt it was such a powerful message of resilience and endurance in just two simple words that we had to include it in our gift handkerchief collection.  We've added the anchors to reference its maritime origins but also to symbolise that by holding fast you are also anchoring your belief system (which is so often a simple hope that the storm will pass). 

In the same way that it was shouted during storms to say 'cling on as if your life depends on it', we feel its no less a potent command in the storms we encounter in life.
